Just once, once in a lifetime, you have to watch
Capturing that moment, and it is, only one moment
Orange ball of fire, descending into tomorrow
Captivating, as time disappears into time

From pinks to grays to blues and beyond
Beams reaching out into a translucent sky
Pointing upwards, sideways and across infinity
Marveling endlessly as darkness slowly engulfs

Suddenly aware of nature's magnificence
Truly engrossed in the simplicity of all its beauty
Unable to comprehend fully, a cornucopia of complete color
Revitalizing a soul, ready to face the quiet of nighttime

Awoken with a simple nudge from friends in a tree
Announcing, yet again, this time to rise
Followed closely by light blues and reds, shining endlessly
Warming this heart, as today reappears in all its former glory
